Short Notification (চুটি বিৱৰণ) =
Applications are invited from eligible candidates for filling up the following vacant posts under Directorate of Economics & Statistics, Assam. Applications must be submitted online through SLPRB website (www.slprbassam.in) and will be received with effect from 25-09-2020. The last date of receiving application will be 15-10-2020. No application will be received thereafter.The Advertisement dated 27-07-2014 issued by the Director of Economics & Statistics, Assam, for filling up of 117 Grade-III posts is hereby stands cancelled as approved by the Govt. vide letter No.PDS.108/2012/128 dated 30th June, 2020. The candidates who had applied in response to the Advertisement dated 27-07-2014 and were eligible as per the said advertisement, the terms and
conditions for eligibility will be governed as per the earlier advertisement dated 27-07-2014 made at that point of time. Such candidates must also apply afresh through the link given in the website www.slprbassam.in
(1) Post Name - (পদৰ নাম) = Sub-Inspector of Statistics
No of Posts: 35 Posts
Educational Qualification - (শিক্ষাগত অৰ্হতা) = The Candidates must be a Graduate in Arts, Science, Commerce or equivalent with Mathematics/ Statistics/ Economics as one of the subjects from a recognized University.
Desirable Qualification:-
Candidates having 6 (six) months Diploma/Certificate in Computer proficiency from a recognized Institute.
Candidates having good working knowledge of office productivity software, tools (independent of any operating system, i.e.MS Windows, Linux, MAC etc.) such as Word Processor, Spread sheet, Presentation graphics, Concept of database, internet and e-mail.
Salary - (দৰমহা) = Rs.14000 – Rs.49,000 (Pay Band No. 2) plus Grade pay of Rs.7,600/- with other allowances as admissible under the rules.
(2) Post Name - (পদৰ নাম) = Junior Artist- cum Draftsman
No of Posts: 01 Post
Educational Qualification - (শিক্ষাগত অৰ্হতা) = Higher Secondary (10+2)or equivalent examination passed in any stream from recognized Board /Council and having diploma/certificate in fine Arts from recognized Art Institution. Also, knowledge in Computer graphics presentation etc.
Salary - (দৰমহা) = Rs.14000 – Rs.49,000 (Pay Band No. 2) plus Grade pay of Rs.7,400/- with other allowances as admissible under the rules.
(3) Post Name - (পদৰ নাম) = Junior Assistant (Hqrs.)
No of Posts: 12 Posts
Educational Qualification - (শিক্ষাগত অৰ্হতা) = A candidate must be a Graduate in Arts, Science, Commerce or equivalent from a recognized University or any examination declared equivalent by the Government. Also, a candidate must possess minimum 6 (six) months Diploma/Certificate in Computer proficiency from a recognized Institute.
Desirable Qualification: Experience in drafting in English and Assamese précis composing is desirable. Good working knowledge of all the software of MS office and other ICT tools.
Salary - (দৰমহা) = Rs.14000 – Rs.49,000 (Pay Band No. 2) plus Grade pay of Rs.6,200/- with other allowances as admissible under the rules.
(4) Post Name - (পদৰ নাম) = Primary Investigator/ Computor
No of Posts: 30 Posts
Educational Qualification - (শিক্ষাগত অৰ্হতা) = Higher Secondary (10+2) or equivalent examination passed in any stream from recognized Board/Council with Mathematics/ Statistics as one of the subject.
Desirable Qualification:-
Candidates having 6 (six) months Diploma/ Certificate in Computer proficiency from a recognized Institute.

No of Posts: 55 Posts
Educational Qualification - (শিক্ষাগত অৰ্হতা) = HSLC or equivalent examination passed from recognized Board with Mathematics as one of the subject.
Desirable Qualification: Candidate having knowledge of Computer proficiency for data collection and transmission from field level through online. Preference will be given to those candidates who have got knowledge/experience of field work of statistical nature.
Salary - (দৰমহা) = Rs.14000 – Rs.49,000 (Pay Band No. 2) plus Grade pay of Rs.5,600/- with other allowances as admissible under the rules.
Other Criteria of Directorate of Economics & Statistics Recruitment
Nationality: Candidates must be Indian citizens, ordinarily resident of Assam. Also, He/She must have registered his/her name in any Employment Exchange of Assam.
Age Limit - (বয়সৰ সময়সীমা) = Candidates age must need to be between 18 years to 40 years as on 1st January of 2020 (i.e. the candidate must be born on or before 01.01.2002 and after 01.01.1980).
Age Relaxation: Category wise age relaxation will be as below followed.
5 years in respect of candidates belonging to SC, ST(P) and ST(H).
3 years in respect of candidates belonging to OBC/ MOBC.
Upper age limit will be relaxed by 3 years in respect of Trained Home Guards who have served for a minimum period of 3 years or more. (Certificate to this effect from competent authority will have to be submitted)
SELECTION PROCEDURE:-
Candidates whose applications are found correct in all respects will be called for Written Tests which will be conducted at any convenient venue(s) depending upon the number of candidates. The candidates will have to appear for the Written Test at the venue mentioned in his/her call letter. However, the Chairman, SLPRB, Assam reserves the right to change the venue (s) of the test as necessitated and no representation etc. will be entertained in this regard.
